Buyer Guide

How to choose the right hat

Start with who will wear the hat, how you want it to fit, and whether you plan to add a logo. Check the individual product page for available colors, sizes, materials and decoration notes.

Choose the fit

Adjustable caps use a snap, strap or other closure to adjust the fit. They can be convenient for groups, but “one size fits most” is not a guarantee that a cap will fit everyone. Youth and larger-head styles are available.

Fitted caps have a closed back and come in specific sizes. Measure each wearer and check the size information for the style before ordering. See our fitted vs. adjustable guide, head-measuring guide and size charts.

Choose the shape and fabric

  • Structured or unstructured: A structured crown holds a more defined shape; an unstructured crown has a softer, more relaxed shape.
  • Crown and visor: Compare low, mid and high crowns, then choose a curved or flat visor based on the look and fit you prefer.
  • Solid or mesh back: Mesh-back styles allow more airflow; a solid-back style offers fabric coverage around the crown.
  • Outdoor use: Compare camo, performance and wide-brim styles. Check the individual listing for features such as moisture-wicking fabric or a UPF rating; they vary by product.

Plan for logos and group orders

We sell many blank styles for local decoration, but not every hat is suitable for every method. Check the product description and ask your decorator about the fabric, seams, panel shape and any existing logos before ordering. Some products are sold blank only. We do not provide embroidery directly.

For a team or business, confirm the quantity, color, size mix, stock availability and decoration lead time. A sample can help you check fit and color before ordering for the group. Read our team ordering tips or wholesale information.
