Mesh Baseball Caps - Which Type is Best For You?

There are a lot of different types of mesh baseball caps but we can all agree that mesh is a great material for summer-time hats. Mesh caps help let the breeze flow through on those hot summer days, whether it's while you're playing ball or just playing at the beach. There are several different types of mesh...jersey mesh, sandwich mesh, plastic mesh...let's talk about these.

Jersey Mesh Caps - this type of mesh is a material used for the entire hat. Think of men's basketball shorts and the silky material they are made from, that is jersey mesh! We have two hats in this material, one is fitted which is the Proflex Jersey Mesh Baseball hat and one is adjustable with a velcro type closure which is the Jersey Mesh Baseball hat.

Sandwich Mesh Caps - This type of mesh is squishy to the touch. It's a soft multi-layer mesh that is perfect for use of mesh fitted caps. The mesh can stretch a bit to fit a range of sizes for a fitted cap. Our Proflex Sandwich Mesh Fitted Cap is a perfect example of this! 

Plastic Mesh Caps - Plastic mesh can vary between the hard plastic mesh and softer plastic mesh but in either case these are a single layer of mesh on the back of the hat that has breathable holes. The softer kind can feel better against your head but also looks a little more worn and can snag more easily than the old school hard plastic mesh.
